When should I register with Career Planning & Development?

Within two semesters before graduation. Employers usually request information about students close to graduation when they will be available to work full-time.


Why should I register with Career Planning & Development?

When you register, your name is placed in a database that is used to refer qualified candidates for existing job openings. Students listed in the database are notified of workshops, programs and on-campus interviews.


Do I have to be registered with Career Planning & Development to use the resources available?

Only for some...The career library and handout materials are available to all students at any time during their college experience. However, only students or alumni who have registered with Career Planning & Development are eligible to participate in our On-Campus Interviewing Program.


How do I register?

It's easy and completely online! Simply follow this link for more information. In addition, if you would like to schedule a follow-up appointment with one of our staff members to review your résumé or to answer any job search questions you may have...just call us or stop by our office.


Where can I get a list of part-time jobs?

You can obtain a printable list of available part-time jobs from any Internet-accessible computer at our website.


How do I apply for a part-time job?M

The instructions for applying for a position will be included in the job listing.


What does it mean if a part-time job states "must be eligible for Federal Work Study?"

You must qualify for positions funded through the Federal Work Study Program. Contact Student Financial Services in room 226 Bibb Graves to determine if you are eligible.


How do I find out what to put on my résumé?

Come by the Career Planning & Development office and pick-up some free information to help you get started. You may also want to check-out one of the books on résumé writing or review the information on our website.
